In Loving Memory
Remembering Jerry Fourie
Jerry Fourie was a dedicated coach, leader, and passionate supporter of girls' youth sports in Pleasanton.
For more than 15 years, Jerry coached both of his daughters in Pleasanton Girls Soccer Association (PGSA) and Pleasanton Girls Softball League (PGSL). He also served on the PGSL Board of Directors, including as President.
Jerry was instrumental in bringing the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) to PGSL, helping promote the importance of sportsmanship, character, and positive coaching.
In recognition of his contributions, Jerry was inducted into the PGSL Hall of Fame in 2005.
Jerry passed away in December 2022 following a courageous battle with leukemia. His dedication to the girls and families of our community continues to inspire us.
Continuing Jerry's Legacy
Every Girl Deserves a Chance to Play
The Jerry Fourie Scholarship Fund was established to honor Jerry's memory by helping girls participate in softball who might otherwise be unable to afford the opportunity.
PGSL uses this fund to provide financial assistance to families in need, helping ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent a girl from experiencing the joy of playing softball.
Make a Difference

Your generosity can help give another girl the opportunity to step onto the softball field, join a team, and create memories that last a lifetime.
